Position Description: The Confidential Search Company is an executive recruiting firm with over twenty-five years of experience placing healthcare financial and administrative Executives, VPs. Directors, Managers and specialists.

We are conducting an executive search for a Senior Reimbursement Analyst for our client, a financially strong, approximately 200 bed acute care hospital with over 500 providers and serving over 300,000 patients each year, located north of Boston in northeast MA (not far from the New Hampshire border).

The starting salary is up to $!00,000, depending on background and experience.

The Senior Reimbursement Analyst will prepare and submit Federal and State hospital cost reports; monitor and analyze hospital revenues to ensure compliance with federal, state and third-party regulations.

The Senior Reimbursement Analyst will:

  • Assist with the accounting, reporting, interpretation and monthly analysis of accounts receivable, related contractual allowances, and NPSR; Identifies variances in accounts receivable, contractual allowance, and revenue accounts and works with department managers to resolve systematic problems
  • Prepare and submit Federal and State cost reports including the CMS-2552 and CHIA Cost Report
  • Be responsible for regulatory filings including Uncompensated Care Cost and Charge Reports (UCCR), Occupational Mix Surveys. Health Safety Net Outpatient PAF filings, Annual Charge Master filing, and Annual and Quarterly CHIA Hospital Health System Financial Performance Reports
  • Collaborate with Patient Financial Services and Marketing and others to ensure compliance with CMS’ Price Transparency Rules
  • Oversee the maintenance and management of the Charge Description Master (CDM), ensuring the accuracy of coding, compliance with government regulations for pricing, and accurate payor requirements
  • Monitor Federal, State and other third-party billing requirements and work with key stakeholders to implement changes as needed to assure a high level of billing compliance
  • Manage consulting projects related to Medicare disproportionate share, Transfer DGR reimbursement, Shadow Billing, and Graduate Medical Education, acting as liaison between the Hospital and outside consulting firms
  • Assist in the annual budgeting process including the development of the net revenue model
  • Coordinate external third-party audits including both Medicare desk reviews and interim cost report audits
  • Assist in various reimbursement, budget, and statistical projects on an as-needed basis
  • Opportunity to assist in the preparation of the annual IRS form 990 tax filings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field]
  • Minimum of 3 years of acute healthcare finance experience
  • Experience preparing Medicare and Medicaid cost reports
  • Knowledge of acute care third-party reimbursement regulations
  • Experience analyzing and reporting net revenue reports
  • Experience developing net revenue models and budgets
  • Knowledge of coding accuracy and Charge Master Description Master (CDM) management preferred
  • Experienced user of MS Office
